There is an opening for a new full time position at the Orlando VA Healthcare System in Mental Health Education for a psychiatrist to serve as the NSU KPCOM psychiatry residency associate program director and the OVAHCS psychiatry resident site director for the NSU KPCOM and UCF/HCA Orlando psychiatry residency programs. The position will be about forty percent education/administration and sixty percent clinical. The clinical work assignment will be negotiated with the Mental Health Service based on the clinical expertise and interests of the selectee. The position is located at the Lake Nona Medical Center but may include some ad hoc telework given the COVID pandemic. It is NOT a virtual or remote position. The position is directly supervised by the Chief, Mental Health Education who is also the NSU KPCOM psychiatry residency program director. The position is posted as being open to any currently board certified psychiatrist who is a US citizen meeting the position requirements, not just psychiatrists working in the VA. The selection process will be competitive. Evidence of scholarly activity, including engaging and supporting residents and faculty in scholarly activity, is desirable.
I’m glad to answer any questions you might have about the position.
