Support. On Demand.
AADPRT supports training directors of psychiatric residency programs with educational offerings and opportunities for networking and professional development. And it happens on demand through our ListServs, mentoring program, Virtual Training Office, and Annual Meeting.
Distance Learning Resources
As training directors in this unprecedented reality brought about by COVID-19, we're in need of resources and tools that will enable us to continue to educate residents, care for our patients, and care for ourselves, but from afar.
ListServ for TDs
AADPRT ListServs improve communication among members to better fulfill the goals of the organization. They provide help, often in real time, with ideas, answers, and resources from the brightest minds in psychiatry education.
Virtual Training Office
The Virtual Training Office (VTO) is AADPRT's repository of psychiatry teaching and training materials.
AADPRT encourages its members to share curricula they've developed for the benefit of our academic psychiatry community. There are several advantages to disseminating your course.
Mentoring is a critical component of career advancement and job satisfaction. It has been defined as a multifaceted collaboration between a junior and senior professional with the primary goal being the nurturing of the junior professional’s development.
Training Director Calendars
These annual calendars below help adult/general, child/adolescent, and new training directors know what's upcoming so they can plan their year to help things go as smoothly as possible.
