Leadership Academy

Optimize your academic leadership skills

aadprt leadership academy_vert.pngPsychiatry Residency Program Directors (PDs) and Associate/Assistant PDs (APDs) are entrusted with cultivating the next generation of psychiatrists. While they are often appointed for their clinical, academic, and teaching strengths, many assume the role without formal leadership training.

This gap can result in challenges in team management, conflict resolution, resident support, faculty engagement, and navigating institutional priorities. Lack of adequate leadership training during medical education can significantly contribute to high turnover rates in this role. A structured leadership training program will equip PDs and APDs with essential skills to succeed in their role as leaders of complex educational systems.
