NEW!  Dr. Iverson Bell, Jr. Faculty Fellowship

The Dr. Iverson Bell, Jr. Faculty Fellowship Award promotes the professional growth of outstanding Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) psychiatrists to create a pipeline for involvement within AADPRT and to provide recognition of the awardee’s potential to contribute to the field of psychiatry. There is a need for mentorship, support and recognition of faculty who are URiM, especially junior and mid-career faculty, to not only lift them up, but to hear their voices and acknowledge their contributions. AADPRT will benefit from supporting a diverse group of members to engage in the organization and increase pathways to leadership.

Theadia Carey was just elected chair of this new award and is offering mentorship to anyone wanting to go through the submission process. Email Theadia.
