Assistant Professor/Clinical Full-Time

The Department of Psychiatry in the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is recruiting general and geriatric psychiatrists for our growing department. Candidates must be board?certified or board?eligible academic general psychiatrists to fill these full?time Assistant or Associate Professor positions on either the tenure or non?tenure track. The faculty will be responsible for individual clinical duties and supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students at a variety of clinical sites. These sites include the psychiatric services in the outpatient UT Health faculty practice plan as well as in the Center for Health Care Services, the local community mental health center with whom the Department has a partnership. Proportion of activity at these sites can be determined by applicant interest and Department need. Involvement in research is available for those with experience or potential for obtaining extramural research funding.  Applicants must hold a valid Texas medical license. In addition, candidates must be eligible for clinical privileges with the University Health System and the Center for Health Care Services under the appropriate staff category and must agree to abide by those privileges as outlined by the current bylaws of the institution.
