Description:  Every year, different Psychiatry training programs have different time windows to complete trainee orientation. Some programs tend to prioritize hospital rules and regulations while other focus on high-yield clinical topics in this limited time frame.  This presentation explores how different programs (residency and fellowship, community and university-based, small and large) approach trainee orientation and the pros and cons of these approaches.

The brain is the organ of cognition, emotion, and behavior. Despite this, psychiatric education has not historically emphasized the role of psychiatric neuroimaging in routine clinical care. Using an interactive progressive case conference design, participants will experience the integration of neuroimaging into clinical evaluation and decision-making. The session is designed to empower educators to use open-access, portable resources to facilitate this, and similar, sessions with their trainees.
