AADPRT/George Ginsberg Fellowship Awards
The AADPRT/George Ginsberg Fellowship acknowledges the excellence and the accomplishments of outstanding residents interested in education and teaching. Five fellows are selected and invited to attend the AADPRT Annual Meeting. Opportunities will be given for Ginsberg fellows to continue to develop their interest in teaching and education or subspecialty residency.
Anne Alonso Ph.D. Memorial Award
The American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training is pleased to announce the 2010 Anne Alonso Ph.D. Memorial Award, sponsored by AADPRT and The Endowment for the Advancement of Psychotherapy (EFAP). This award, given for the best unpublished paper on psychotherapy written by a resident, was originally named in honor of Frieda Fromm-Reichmann, M.D. The award now recognizes Dr. Anne Alonso.

International Medical Graduate Fellowship Program in Psychiatry
The fellowship program is designed to promote the professional growth of exceptional IMG residents and fellows and facilitate their successful development as leaders in American Psychiatry. This goal is reached by providing an opportunity for the awardees to be mentored by senior role models in the field of psychiatry. Five fellows will be selected.

- ACGME Duty Hours Congress and our letter to ACGME
- AADPRT website is being updated
- ListServs added: Associate directors, small programs, VAMC
- The AADPRT approved common Child & Adolescent psychiatry application
- New Curriculum Development committee
- We welcome new members to the Henderson Paper Award Committee and offer our thanks to outgoing chair, Chris Varley and members Margaret Shugart and Shashi Bhatia for their work over the years on this Award Committee. Mary Beth Lake and Malia McCarthy join as new members and Lis Guthrie will be chair of the committee. Current members of the committee include Peter Daniolos, Cynthia Telingator and Arden Dingle. Award guidelines for 2010 will be posted soon on the website.
- The Annual Meeting abstract system is set to open mid-August. Kathy Sanders, chair of the program committee will notify all members once the system is open.
