Young Adult Psychiatry Faculty

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida is recruiting for faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level for our young adult and transition age youth programs.

The positions will be a core part of the growing clinical and educational programs in the Department of Psychiatry at UF. Faculty will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including child psychiatrists, adult psychiatrists, therapists, and the UF Student Mental Health team.

These positions are in a major medical center in Gainesville Florida, at a Top 10 public university in a pleasant, family-friendly community with a modest cost of living and high quality of life.

The outpatient services provided by the Department of Psychiatry include assessment and evaluation, neuropsychological testing, group therapy, medication management, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and inpatient units for children and adults as well as medically and psychiatrically complex patients, providing an ideal setting for clinical treatment.

Required Qualifications:
  • MD, DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible psychiatrists
  • A collaborative approach to clinical care
  • Clinical interest in the care of young adults and transition age youth
  • Teaching and mentoring
