Review Committee News: Psychiatry Committee Seeks Nominations for Resident Member The Review Committee seeks prospective candidates for a resident position that will become available July 01, 2017. The resident member must be currently enrolled in a residency or fellowship program at the time of the appointment. The resident member may not serve more than one year beyond completion of a residency or fellowship program. After review and consideration of all nominations, the Review Committee will forward its selection to the ACGME Board of Directors for approval at its September 2016 meeting. The new member's term will begin July 01, 2017 and end June 30, 2019. Additional information is available upon request from Accreditation Administrator Tiffany Hewitt. Nominations will be accepted until July 01, 2016.


APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE FOR AMERICAN BOARD OF PSYCHIATRY AND NEUROLOGY 2017-2018 FACULTY INNOVATION IN EDUCATION AWARDS May 13, 2016, Buffalo Grove, Illinois --- The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) has posted the application and detailed information about the 2017-2018 Faculty Innovation in Education Awards on its websitewww.abpn.com. The ABPN Faculty Innovation in Education Award supports the development of innovative education and/or evaluation projects that promote effective residency/fellowship training or lifelong learning of practicing psychiatrists and neurologists. Each year, the selection committee chooses up to two psychiatry and two neurology fellows for the two-year fellowship. The 2017-2018 application and requested materials are due to the ABPN by August 15, 2016. The awards will be announced by November 15, 2016, with funding to start on January 1, 2017.
