This year’s pre-meeting topic is "Understanding the Brain: What to Learn and How to Teach it".

Using schizophrenia as a model for discussion, participants will hear an update on the neuroscience of schizophrenia, then participate in 4 “lab” exercises to learn core skills in teaching neuroimaging, neuropsychological assessment, bedside cognitive testing, and neurobiological formulation, before getting back together to apply these skills in treatment planning.

Faculty:
Nancy Andreasen: Update on the Neuroscience of Schizophrenia

Workshops:
Jay Giedd:  Neuroimaging
Terry Goldberg:  Understanding Neuropsychological Testing
Sheldon Benjamin: Bedside Cognitive Status Testing
Ron Rieder & Marty Goldstein:  Neurobiological Formulation

The pre-meeting will be Wednesday March 11th from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!
