Online registration is now open for the 2017 AADPRT Annual Meeting, which will be held March 9-11, 2017 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. The BRAIN conference is Wednesday, March 8.
The meeting's theme is Define "Psychiatrist": Merging Passions, Pressures, and Values. Annual Meeting Program Director Adam Brenner, MD said of the theme, "Training directors often find themselves in a reactive mode, responding to regulatory mandates, healthcare system pressures, and a calendar packed with administrative deadlines. But it is vital that we carve out space for thinking about the values and passions that brought us to this work in the first place. What is our vision for the kind of doctor we are training our residents to become? What knowledge base, what skillset, what qualities of character should this physician attain to best serve future patients with mental illness? In other words, how do we – as individuals and as a group – define "psychiatrist"?"
Early registration is open now through February 6, 2017. After that date, the price increases and registration will close February 17. For more information and to register, click "Annual Meeting" on AADPRT'S website at www.aadprt.org.
